Join Hiking Hound Adventures\, LLC as we break down the steps to identifying trees. With us you will learn the basics to tree identification like the parts of a tree\, how trees grow\, and important terminology. Simple vs. compound leaves\, leaf scars\, bark patterns\, growth patters\, fruit\, and more! We will learn several of the species that play important roles in Pennsylvania’s forests like maples\, oaks\, beeches\, and poplars to name a few.  Forests are complex\, living ecosystems and understanding them is a fascinating way to enjoy the outdoors. \nYour instructor\, Andy\, has a B.S. in Forestry from the University of Kentucky and has a great understanding of trees and forest dynamics. SUMMARY:Radnor Great American Backyard Campout
DESCRIPTION:Hiking Hound Adventures\, LLC is excited to be a part of the 10th Annual Radnor Township Great American Backyard Campout! \nWe will be leading three separate hikes during the event. These are being offered completely free\, but space is limited\, so stop by our booth and register early. We will offer two different Nature BINGO! hikes that are fun for the whole family. When the sun sets\, we will be leading a Twilight Treasure Hunt where we use flashlights or headlamps to search the trail for a chance to win prizes. \nIn addition to our free hikes at the campout\, we are happy to offer equipment rentals for the event at a special discounted rate. We will have tents\, sleeping bags\, and sleeping pads available at a first come first served basis. \nIf you would like to request a rental from Hiking Hound Adventures\, LLC\, fill out the form below. All items will have a special event price and will be made available for pickup at the event. After you submit your request\, we will send you a payment link for the available items. The items are not reserved until payment has been received and you will receive a confirmation email with details on when and where the items will be made available at the event.
