Community Partnership Program

We proudly partner with local municipalities to offer a variety of outdoor education programs tailored to the needs of each community. By utilizing nearby green spaces, we help residents connect with nature while learning essential outdoor skills in a fun and accessible way.

Little Tykes Go on Hikes

This 45-minute course is designed for children (ages 3-12) and their guardians, addressing common concerns about hiking with kids. Through engaging games and hands-on activities, participants learn about outdoor safety, trail selection, packing essentials, and Leave No Trace principles.
Ages: 3-12 (children under 3 free with another registered child, all participants must be accompanied by an adult)

April 26th- 10am – Rolling Hill Park- Nature BINGO! Hike

May 19th- 6pm- Rolling Hill Park – Trailblazers Treasure Hunt

June 21st, 11am- Rolling Hill Park – Wander and Wade: A Creekside Expedition

July 22nd- 6pm- Rolling Hill Park -Treats on the Trail: An Ice Cream Adventure

Wilderness Navigation

Learn the basics of map reading and compass navigation in this 90-minute class. The session includes a 30-minute classroom introduction followed by 60 minutes of hands-on field instruction. This course builds the skills needed to confidently explore the outdoors using topographic maps and a compass.
Ages: 12+ (under 18 must be registered and  accompanied by a registered adult)

July 15th- 6pm- Rolling Hill Park

Backpacking Fundamentals

This two-hour session focuses on key backpacking skills for beginners, including campsite setup, water filtration, and Leave No Trace principles, ensuring you’re ready for your next adventure.
Ages: 12+ (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)

Tails on Trails: Introduction to Hiking with Dogs

Ready to hit the trails with your four-legged friend? This engaging course is designed to teach you how to safely and responsibly hike with your dog. We cover essential safety tips, gear for your pup, trail etiquette, and Leave No Trace principles, ensuring that both you and your dog have a great time outdoors.
Ages: 18+ (one dog per person, dogs must be on a leash, up-to-date on vaccinations, and well-behaved)

August 14th- 7pm- Rolling Hill Park
