Trail Highlights and Experience
Hike through dense hardwood forests, cross more than 20 streams, and tackle steep climbs and rocky descents that lead to sweeping mountain views. Along the route, you will explore iconic sections such as Francis Branch, County Line Branch, and Naval Run Stream, as well as numerous waterfalls and remote backcountry campsites.
Throughout the trip, guides provide hands on instruction in advanced navigation, campsite selection, water filtration, Leave No Trace principles, and wilderness safety, helping participants refine their skills in a demanding backcountry environment.
