Job Title: Seasonal Day Camp Staff
Location: Various Day Camp Locations in South Eastern Pennsylvania/ Greater Philadelphia Area (Company based in Delaware County)
Reports to: Program Director

At Hiking Hound Adventures, LLC, we bring outdoor adventure and education to communities across Pennsylvania. Our day camps give kids the chance to explore nature, learn new skills, and have fun outside – all without overnights. From nature hikes and paddling to outdoor games and creative projects, we provide safe, engaging, and inclusive experiences that help campers build confidence and connect with the outdoors.
Job Overview:
We’re looking for enthusiastic Seasonal Day Camp Counselors to join our team for the summer season. As a counselor, you’ll lead and supervise campers ages 6–14 in a variety of outdoor activities at different camp locations. You’ll be a role model, teacher, and guide – helping campers stay safe, try new things, and make lasting memories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise day camp activities, including hiking, nature games, crafts, paddling, and basic outdoor skills.
- Keep campers safe by following all safety protocols and maintaining active supervision.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment where all campers feel welcome.
- Teach simple outdoor skills such as Leave No Trace principles, map reading, campfire safety, and nature awareness.
- Assist with daily setup, cleanup, and organization of camp equipment and supplies.
- Work closely with fellow counselors and the Program Director to ensure smooth camp operations.
- Serve as a positive role model in attitude, behavior, and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- Enjoy working with children and being outdoors.
- Experience in camps, youth programs, recreation, or education (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication and group management skills.
- CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before camp starts).
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and staying active all day.
- Must be 16+ with reliable transportation to different camp locations.
- Clean FBI Child Abuse screening and criminal background check required.

This is a seasonal, daytime position during summer months. Camps run at various locations. Competitive pay based on experience.
Fishing Camp Dates
- Week of July 13 – Upper Providence Township, Delco (Media, PA)
- Week of July 20 – Plymouth Township, PA
- Week of August 17 – Radnor Township, PA
Outdoor Adventure Camp Dates
- Week of July 27 – Westtown Township, PA
- Week of August 3 – Lower Makefield Township, PA
