Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse yourself in nature? Hiking Hound Adventures, LLC offers an array of outdoor experiences on the water, perfect for paddlers of all skill levels. Whether you’re interested in canoeing, kayaking, or stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), our trips are designed to help you connect with the natural world while enjoying a fun and relaxing adventure.

Located near Philadelphia, we make it easy for city dwellers and suburbanites alike to explore the peaceful waterways of the region. Our paddling experiences take you through some of the area’s most scenic and biodiverse habitats, including the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, where you can glide along the tidal marshes of Darby Creek. Whether you’re on a SUP board or in a canoe, you’ll be surrounded by lush landscapes, abundant wildlife, and over 300 species of birds—many of which nest in the refuge. We even offer birding paddles, where you can use binoculars to spot exciting bird species along the way!

For a more adventurous outing, try paddling the winding Brandywine Creek, where you’ll navigate through countryside beauty, or enjoy a relaxing sunset float on Darby Creek.

Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or a curious beginner, we provide the equipment, guidance, and expertise to make your experience enjoyable and safe. For those who may be new to stand-up paddle boarding, we offer Spinera boards equipped with seats, so you can paddle comfortably like a kayak. Our experienced guides will ensure that you feel confident and comfortable on the water.

Our trips are perfect for families, with participants as young as 8 years old welcome when accompanied by an adult. With a variety of trip options, including bird watching, relaxing paddles, and adventurous multi-day excursions, Hiking Hound Adventures, LLC is your gateway to unforgettable outdoor experiences.

Participants under 18 must be registered and accompanied by a registered adult. Minimum age is 8. Rentals available on a first-come, first-served basis.
