What You’ll Learn in Our Map & Compass Course:
Map Components: Learn how to read topographic maps, including understanding scales, contour lines, and symbols that help you interpret your surroundings.
Compass Basics: Discover the parts of a compass and how to use it for navigation. We’ll teach you how to take bearings and find your location on the map.
Hands-On Field Instruction: After the classroom session, we’ll head outdoors for an hour of hands-on practice. You’ll apply your new skills by navigating diverse terrain with your map and compass, building the confidence you need to navigate anywhere!

Course Details:

👥 Who It’s For: Ages 12+ (under 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult)
🧭 Equipment Provided: Compasses and classroom materials will be provided. If you’d like a compass to take home, they are available for purchase. Simply add it to your cart, and we’ll have it ready for you at the course. COMPASS
